Korea, c. 1950-10. The dead body of a North Korean soldier lies frozen in an attitude of death near the wreckage of some military vehicles. At rear, four members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), pass by on their Bren gun carrier, while in the background (right) a South Korean soldier with a rifle slung on his shoulder stands holding a bicycle beside a wagon laden with household goods. The wagon and goods probably belong to a South Korean refugee family who are returning home after the repulse of North Korean forces by allied troops. (Donor I. Robertson)
