Description
Korea, c. 1950-11. Wearing a variety of headgear including slouch hats and berets, members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), sit and stand on a high bank overlooking a broad river. One soldier (left) is sitting in the grass near an antenna rising from a radio transceiver (not in view). Lying on the ground in the foreground are several 3.5 inch bazookas or rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) (left) and a number of Bren guns (right). Crossing the river in the background is a modern bridge, one span of which has been destroyed probably by retreating North Korean forces. (Donor I. Robertson)
