Chipyong-ni area, Korea, 1951-03. 3/40048 Major Walter Frederick ('The Farmer) Brown (right) salutes an Australian general during the latter's official visit of inspection to the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), in the IX Corps rest area. Major Brown was administering command of the battalion in the absence on leave in Japan of its Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Ian Bruce Ferguson. (Donor I. Robertson)
