Medal presentation parade held at the sports ground inside the South African Defence Force (SADF) base at Grootfontein. The parade was for the presentation of United Nations (UN) medals to most of the second Australian contingent to UNTAG (United Nations Assistance Transition Group). The parade was reviewed by General Prem Chan, Indian Army, who was in control of the whole of UNTAG for the UN.
