A Japanese merchant vessel manoeuvering to avoid attack by Beaufighter aircraft of No. 30 Squadron RAAF during the Battle of the Bismarck Sea The Battle was fought about 40 miles north west of Buna when a large Japanese convoy re-supplying the Buna area was attacked by Allied aircraft.
