Group portrait of an air crew from No. 1 Bomber Squadron RAAF standing in front of a Lincoln aircraft on the tarmac after an air strike. This is possibly taken after Operation Termite, a combined air land strike, which began on 8 July 1954 and involved fifty five aircraft including Lincolns from No. 1 Bomber Squadron RAAF. Left to right: Co-pilot Sergeant (Sgt) Wyatt, Gunner Flight Sergeant Roy Cosgrove, Bomb Aimer Flight Sergeant Keenan, 1st Signaller Warrant Officer Kevin Ryan, Air Officer Commanding Air Vice Marshal McDonald, Wing Commander Hugh Francis Moore, Navigator Pilot Officer Pat Fitzgibbon and 2nd Signaller Sgt Weston. Moore was awarded the DFC for his high standards as Commanding Officer of No. 1 Bomber Squadron RAAF and for improving the technique of night bombing against Communist insurgents in Malaya.
