Informal portrait of Flight Lieutenant the Honourable Thomas Walter White DFC VD MP (seated) in uniform and Flying Officer F.A. Sewell conferring over a paper in the outdoors. White served with the Australian Flying Corps during World War 1 and was Minister for Air and Civil Aviation from 1949 to 1951. In 1952 he was awarded the KBE (Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire) while Australian High Commissioner in the United Kingdom.
