A wounded Turkish prisoner resting on the deck of the transport vessel HMT Galeka. He was one of the first enemy soldiers captured on the morning of the landing on Gallipoli and probably spent the next four years as a Prisoner of War (POW) on the Greek island of Imbros or in Egypt. (Identical image at P1287/11/05).
