Barrow-in-Furness, England. c. 1917. Workmen handling sheet metal in the Platers Shed at the Vickers Company works. Between 1916 and 1918 6000 Australian munitions and factory workers volunteered to work in similar factories devoted to wartime production. (Donor M. Kemp)
