Honshu, Japan, c. 1950-09. Spread out along a road between rice paddy fields, members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), pause for a rest and a drink during a route march. The soldiers are marching back to Hiro after taking part in a training exercise at Haramura in preparation for 3RAR's move to Korea from BCOF.
