Honshu, Japan, c. 1950-09. During a route march in the countryside, three members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), pause for a rest beside a monument inscribed with Japanese characters. The two men in front are holding Owen submachine guns. The soldiers are taking part in training exercise in prepartion for 3RAR's move to Korea from BCOF.
