Description
Korea, c. 1951-02. Members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), eat their breakfast at a mess parade beside a traditional Korean farmhouse. Standing in front of the building are a covered truck or jeep, a 44-gallon drum from which steam is rising, a field stove, several jerry cans and a small pile of firewood (right) with a trailer parked behind it. The soldiers are wearing windproof jackets and pile caps to help keep themselves warm.
