Description
North Korea, c. 1950-10. Bren gun carrier no. 3956 of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), lies at a tilt, bogged in a waterlogged field. Lying on the ground (left) are a spade and a long bough from a tree which have been used to try to free the vehicle from the mud in which it is entrapped. A rope and chain (right) have been attached to the back of the vehicle in an attempt to drag it out of the bog.
