Korea, c. 1951-02. 2/2680 Corporal Tim Daly, a member of the Machine Gun Platoon, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), stands beside an enormous stone statue of a human figure clasping a sword. The statue forms part of an old complex of funerary monuments standing in a burial ground or cemetery on a hill in the Korean countryside. Patches of late winter snow lie on the hill in the background.
