Amberley, Qld. 1945-07-18. At No. 3 Aircraft Depot RAAF special VIP Consolidated C-87 Liberator Transport of RAF transport command, allotted to Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser, Commander British Pacific Fleet, has the oxygen cylinder topped up at Amberley by, from left: 47695 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) J. S. Duncan, instrument maker, of Yorketown, SA; 75292 LAC H. T. Burgess, instrument maker, of Toowoomba, Qld; 444915 Aircraftman 1 R. E. Barrett, instrument repairer, of Bundaberg, Qld. A trolley similar to a bomb trolley is used to transport the oxygen cylinders. The aircraft is armed with at least one machine gun, as can be seen by the ammunition belt visible through one of the passenger windows.
