Imjin River, Korea, 1951-10. A pontoon bridge, code name Pintail, across the Imjin River. The bridge consists of metal tracks laid over inflatable dinghies which are held in place by a series of cables (left) attached to two other cables stretching from one bank of the river to the other. These two cables are securely fastened at each end.
