Hill 355 area, Korea, 1952-03-16. Members of 'A' Company, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), watch as C Company's positions are shelled by Communist Chinese artillery. Left to right: 3/395 Major Jeffrey James (Jim) Shelton MC, the company commander; Roy Noonan; George Bates; Nev Coffey. 'Cemetery Ridge' was a soldiers' nickname for a low ridge that ran in front of the dominating feature known as Hill 227 ('Fanny Hill') which was strongly held by Communist Chinese troops.
