Kibeho, Rwanda. 1995-05. Sick and wounded refugees receiving treatment from medical personnel of the Australian Medical Support Force (AMSF). The Australians are wearing United Nations (UN) insignia and have set up a temporay canvas cover over several stretcher cases. Crouching over their patients are left to right: Unidentified; Flight Lieutenant Robyn Yeo RAAF (wearing blue face mask); unidentified; Corporal Jenkins (wearing Red Cross brassard), a patrol medic with 2 Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC); the woman on the far right, and also wearing a brassard is Able Seaman Grover, RAN. Lieutenant Michael Hamming, a Nursing Officer, is standing on the far right speaking with an unidentified patrol medic. Two weeks earlier the Kibeho refugee camp had been devastated during a riot and subsequent massacre. All the Australian's were members of the United Nations Assistance Mission In Rwanda (UNAMIR).
