Description
Interior of the operating theatre in the convent Terra Santa (or Sancta) where the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station (2/1st CCS) set up their hospital for the Syrian Campaign. Note the particularly good lighting and multiple water tap arrangement. The convent was referred to by the Australians as "Sancta Casa".
