Torokina, Bougainville, New Guinea. 1945-09. A Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC) doctor examining a sick Japanese prisoner of war. This soldier and other stretcher cases had recently surrendered and were being treated at the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station. (Donor M. Zaetta)
