Sulphur Bay, Garden Island, WA. 1943. The permanent pier under construction by members of No. 7 Tps (?Transport) Company. The jetty was 220 feet long and was completed on 1943-03-06. Note the steel rimmed tractor and the pile driver. Note also how the construction commenced out from the shore to ensure secure footings were established as the first part of the operation.
