Abu Ghosh, Palestine. 1941-12-8. Group portrait of AIF senior officers, French and Polish clergy and the majority of the Roman Catholic chaplains posted to AIF units in the Middle East, in the courtyard of L'Eglise Medieval de Quariah el Enab. Left to right, front row: Colonel (Col) ?, Australian Army Medical Corps (AAMC); Col Harry Furnell, Col Pulver, Pere (Father) Alexandre, VX46983 Brigadier Raymond W. Tovell, Commanding Officer of the 26th Brigade AIF; unknown Polish refugee Bishop, Brigadier Chapman; Pere Raphael, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Legge, Lt Col Hurley and Lt Col Watson. Lt Col J. W.
