Tobruk, Libya. 1941. The rock covered dugout at right was occupied by VX46983 Brigadier Raymond W. Tovell, Commanding Officer of the 26th Brigade, for many weeks during the siege of Tobruk. The rocks in the foreground cover another dugout occupied by the Brigade Major's batman and the hessian screen (centre rear) encloses a latrine. (Donor A. Tovell)
