Sydney, NSW, c 1947. Hand tinted portrait of Patricia Finnigan wearing a traditional Japanese kimono sent to her from Japan by her father NX94709 Private W.J. Finnigan when he served in BCOF. Private Finnigan, who serving in A Company, 30th Battalion, during World War 2, sent Patricia from New Guinea for her seventh birthday a handkerchief autographed by the men of his company and their commanding officer. The handkerchief is in the Australian War Memorial collection. (Donor P. Thompson)
