Description
Manuscript titled `What was it like to experience the Second World War?', recollects training and service in Melbourne and Enoggera with AWAS. Also describes period at Lae, New Guinea, mentioning an earthquake and the rest centre at Salamaua. Includes biographical details and poem titled `In retrospect'. After demobilisation Miss Crane became Deputy Director of the WRAAC. Also photocopy of typescript notes in chronological order on her personal recollections of the WRAAC.
