Madang, New Guinea, 1945-12. In the Officers' Mess at Headquarters, RAAF Northern Command (NORCOM), a group of RAAF officers enjoys an informal Sunday morning glass of beer with the unit's Commanding Officer, Air Commodore A.L. Walters, who is sitting (fourth from left). The men, some of them bare-chested, are gathered around a table on which stand several bottles and glasses of Tooth's KB Lager.
