Ground crew of No. 450 squadron RAAF " The Desert Harassers", taking advantage of the shade of native gum trees in an effort to get away from the intense heat. Shortly after , they embarked on Landing Ships Tank (LSTs) for Malta, where they stayed for ten days before joining the invasion fleet for the Sicilian Campaign.
