Description
Kota Bharu, Malaya. 1941. RAAF Lockheed Hudson aircraft A-16-43 of No. 1 General Reconnaissance Squadron. The Hudson is parked on the grass airstrip at RAF station Kota Bharu. Note the jungle at rear. The Squadron was based at Kota Bharu but was forced to retreat, along with the allied forces, in the face of the Japanese attack. The last aircraft was evacuated on 31 January 1941.
