England. c. 1945. Informal group portrait of some crew members of a Consolidated B-24 Liberator aircraft probably of No. 224 Squadron, RAF Coastal Command, standing on a railway platform in a town to which they have travelled together on leave. The group includes: Alex Torr ? (fourth from left), a RAF wireless air gunner from Manchester; 402547 Flying Officer Thomas Frederick Wong See (sixth from left), the first Australian-born Chinese to serve in the RAAF and a navigator in the squadron.
