Description
Ground crew staff around an American Liberator aircraft (forground) and B-17 Flying Fortress 23147 (42-3147) "Homesick Angel" on a landing ground in Italy. The "homesick Angel" crashed in France on 16 November 1943. All the crew were killed except for Staff Sergeant Kenneth O Eslick, USAAF, who was taken prisoner of war (POW) and interned in Stalag 17B.
