Hai-Town, Kut-el-Amara, Mesopotamia. 1917-02. Members of `H' Station, 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, with a mobile wireless mast they had erected to contact Headquarters (GHQ) of the British Cavalry Division (6th and 7th Cavalry Brigades), Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force. Communication had been requested from Kut to GHQ after the British aircraft seen in the background had been forced to land due to engine trouble. (Donor B. Simes)
