Baghdad, Mesopotamia. 1917-03-12. Two armed members of the 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, on leave in a street of the city the morning after a dust storm. In the foreground are the ruins and rubble of Khali Pasha Street (shortly after known as New Street) and in the background is one of the city's many tiled domes. Note the camera carried by one of the soldiers.
