Baghdad, Mesopotamia. 1917-03-12. Sign on the wall of a former German wireless station which was extensively damaged by the retreating forces. The sign reads `God punish England!!'. Members of the 1st Wireless Signals Squadron, Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, had hoped to use the buildings and masts but they were beyond repair.
