Description
Gallipoli, Turkey, 1915. Captain Anderson (right) and another soldier at the heavily-sandbagged entrance to a Battalion Headquarters (BHQ) dugout at Anzac. Two large artillery shells and two smaller shell cases stand on the ground (centre), while a large dixie lies near Captain Anderson's feet (right). A sign mounted above the entrance to the dugout reads: 'If not on duty keep out'. (Donor D. Anderson)
