Kirkuk, Mesopotamia. 1918-04. Members of the 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, including one of the New Zealand stations, moving up to a rendezvous point with other units in the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force. Note the mobile wireless mast erected beside the fire and the horse lines spread out across the open plain. They were engaged in an operation which saw the towns from Tuz and Kirkuk taken from the Turks. (Donor F. Mantell)
