Ismailia (Ismalia), Suez Canal, Egypt. 1918-02. Members of `D' Troop (Light Motor Wireless Section), 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, outside the Chester & District YMCA hut. They had inadvertently been sent from Australia to Egypt where after a month they re-embarked on the SS Eastern on 1918-02-14. They eventually arrived in Mesopotamia with members of Dunsterforce.
