Ilyas, Mesopotamia. 1918-11. Group portrait of members of No. 7 Station, 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, with the patriarch and two monks of the monastery of Mar Behnam. The unit had been sent from Mosul with the 13th Lancers, also of the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, to check Turks withdrawing from the area. (Donor E. Keast Burke)
