Bombay, India. 1916-12-25. Patients and staff in one of the wards of the Victoria War Hospital decorated with Christmas decorations. The hospital was staffed by members of the Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS) whose patients included members of the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force and captured Turkish prisoners. On the day this photograph was taken new eighty surgical cases arrived at the hospital. (Another copy at H12557)
