New Guinea. Captain J. Cudlipp, Company Commander of B Company, 2/23rd Battalion fatally wounded by shellfire on Green Ridge is carried out on the track to a regimental aid post during the attack on Sattelberg. Stretchers bearers, Lance Corporal Alvin Hatters, Corporal Doug Coutts (helmet). Far left is Lieutenant Allan Lyne. Matilda tanks were used to blast Japanese positions in the village.
