Tel el Khuweilfeh, Palestine, 1917-11-06. Men, horses and a camel (right) gather around the wells at Khuweilfeh that the 53rd Division of the British Army and the Australians of the 3rd Battalion, Imperial Camel Corps Brigade, have just captured from Turkish forces. At centre, a large tripod has been erected over the mouth of the well to facilitate the drawing up of water from the depths below.
