Corsica, France. July 1944. Informal portrait of 402523 Squadron Leader D. H. McBurnie DFC DFM, of Quirindi, NSW, who has been appointed Commanding Officer of No. 238 Squadron RAF in Corsica. He has five and a half enemy fighters to his credit, destroyed during his first tour of operations with the Desert Harassers No. 450 (Kittyhawk) Squadron RAAF in the Western Desert.
