Pisa, Italy. c. 1944. The famed Leaning Tower of Pisa is a source of much wonder to RAAF airmen, most of whom climb to the top and gaze out over the seas of desolation which the war has left on the other side of the river. Two ground crew members inspect the postcards of the monuments of Pisa which the Italian boy has for sale.
