Description
Aerial photograph of bombs dropped by a Canberra B20 light bomber of No. 2 Squadron RAAF exploding among trees in an area of the Mekong Delta about 130 kilometres south of Saigon. The Canberra was carrying out a raid on a dense tree-line which the Viet Cong (VC) were suspected of using as a storage site for ammunition and food supplies. The pilot of the aircraft and the flight commander for the mission was Squadron Leader Brian Sweeney, while the navigator and bombing officer was Squadron Leader Frank Lonie. (Formerly 200252)
