Description

Crew members of the Guided Missile Destroyer HMAS Brisbane, watch as their ship is refuelled at sea by the USS Platte (no. 186) (left), a Cimarron class Fleet Oiler. Large fuel pipes pass across the water from the Platte to the Brisbane. The two vessels are serving with Battle Force Zulu in the Gulf War, HMAS Brisbane as part of Australia's Operation Damask.
