Description
Typed and illustrated manuscript, written in November 1984 by Mr Andrew R.B. Simpson as an article for "Flypast" aviation magazine, titled: "Flying with 460 Squadron RAAF". The article is mainly about Simpson's father - 401542 Wing Commander Lorraine Joseph ("Laurie") Simpson DFC, who served with 460 Squadron RAAF (Lancasters) during 1942-1944. The article includes brief descriptions of Simpson's life before enlisting, and is illustrated by copies of photographs showing Simpson and others during training and active service.
