Vietnam. 1966-03. Two Vietnamese boys haggle with Corporal (Cpl) John Pearce of Warwick Farm, Sydney, NSW, from whom they are trying to buy a packet of cigarettes. The boys approached Cpl Pearce at a small village near Bien Hoa when soldiers of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), stopped there for lunch during a patrol.
