Vietnam. 1966-03-11. Company signallers Lance Corporal Alan Ahearn of Eastwood, Sydney, NSW (left), and Private Neil Halm of Peak Hill, Sydney, NSW, link-up communications during Operation Silver City in the jungles of War Zone D, in South Vietnam. Both men are serving with the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), which was helicoptered deep into Communist Viet Cong territory for the operation.
