Vietnam. 1966. Members of the 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), have moved into a staging area three miles north of Vung Tau. After arrival they erected their unit sign on the perimeter of the camp. 5713606 Private Graeme Ashton of Mosman Park WA stands guard in front of the sign, which was placed beside the main road into Vung Tau.
