Description
Hansa Bay, New Guinea. 1943-08-28. The dangers of low level bombing attacks when the attacking aircraft follow each other too closely are illustrated in this photograph taken from a RAAF aircraft of a low level attack by B25 bombers on camouflaged Japanese ships. This picture shows bombs from a preceding B25 bomber dropped but not exploded. A second aircraft is approaching low over the land emitting smoke from gunfire.
