Private (Pte) Tony Purcell of Mansfield, Victoria, and the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR), baling water out of his weapon pit in the task force base after a heavy storm as another soldier mans the machine-gun. The Battalion is digging in on its first operation as the monsoon season, with daily deluges of rain, moves into Vietnam. [3787580 Pte Anthony Thomas Purcell was killed in action in Phuoc Tuy Province on 25 July 1966.
